The Qualification Program for Overseas Students (QPOS) helps international students prepare to attend a university in the U.S.
QPOS is a 6 to 12 month program that prepares international students planning to attend a U.S. university for their undergraduate (BA, BS, etc.) or post-graduate degree (MBA, MA, PhD, etc.). It helps them complete all prerequisites and entrance exams, qualify for scholarships and improve their English speaking and writing skills.
As part of an aggressive marketing campaign for the program, the QPOS team needed a 4-page brochure that could be distributed at trade shows and seminars. They wanted a native English speaker to write the copy.
American copywriter Susan Greene was brought in to write the copy for the brochure. The objective was to convey to international students the difficulty they’d have succeeding in a U.S. university without the proper training. QPOS was presented as the best way to prepare.
Investing 6 to 12 months in the QPOS program in Malaysia before heading to the U.S. would provide them with the educational background, study skills and English proficiency to thrive at an American university.
Once the QPOS team began their advertising programs, they began receiving inquiries from interested prospects. Fortunately, there seemed to be significant demand for the service QPOS was providing. Attracting customers was just a matter of getting the word out.
All prospects were sent a copy of the brochure, which was effective in then persuading students to request a meeting or phone call with a QPOS administrator/sale person.
Because the QPOS team was extremely pleased with the brochure copy, Susan Greene was asked to also write the company’s website as well as various other promotional tools.
As usual, you have done tremendous work! You helped us achieve a significant milestone in launching the QPOS marketing program. Throughout the process you have been professional and helpful in stimulating ideas. We are very pleased with the attractive and well-structured content of this brochure. Thank you.
