A Professional Vendor Warning About Sigma Capital Financial / David Solano

As a professional copywriter with over two decades of experience serving high-level clients, I’m typically cautious about the companies I work with. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Sigma Capital Financial, specifically partner David Solano, has been both frustrating and costly.

The Work: Completed in Full, Delivered on Time

In good faith, I was contracted to write four sets of sales emails—a total of eight professionally written marketing messages, each tailored for both buyers and sellers across the following verticals:

• Sales & Leasebacks

The project, all eight sales letters, was delivered as agreed and even earlier than the quoted timeline. Since then, I have repeatedly contacted David Solano via email and voicemail to ask if he’s reviewed the letters and whether he needs me to make any revisions, which I could do at no additional charge. These questions were ignored—not declined, just ignored.

What’s most surprising is that David Solano and I appeared to have an excellent relationship. He had reviewed samples of my work and was confident I could easily handle his assignment. He agreed to my pricing and turnaround time. I completed the assignment according to the contracted specifications and yet, I’m now faced with non-payment on this project. Complaint: I, Susan Greene, received a deposit prior to starting the copywriting project. The work was delivered on time and on budget. But despite repeated follow-up via email and voicemail, I have received no communication from Mr. Solano nor Sigma Capital Financial regarding final payment.

Why This Page Exists

This is not personal—it’s professional. My intent is to warn other freelancers, vendors, and digital agencies that may consider working with Sigma Capital Financial or David Solano. Nonpayment for completed work is theft—plain and simple. Unless Sigma Capital Financial is willing to pay you 100% up front, prior to you doing the work, this client is not worth the risk. Clearly, they do not live up to their commitments.

David Solano, this situation could have been resolved with a single email and a quick payment. You were given every opportunity to express dissatisfaction or explain any financial challenges you were facing, but none were communicated. Instead, you ghosted me.

I am now publicly documenting our transaction in hopes of receiving the payment I rightfully earned—and to protect others from similar treatment. As soon as I receive payment in full, I will remove this page from my copywriting website. I have no desire to tarnish David Solano nor Sigma Capital Financial. I just want payment for all work completed as contracted.
